New event: get started with environmental sustainability
We're holding an in-person workshop and networking event in East Durham
We’re pleased to announce an upcoming event in partnership with East Durham Trust, bringing an opportunity to learn how to start your environmental journey, meet like-minded peers, and find out about the programmes and resources available for voluntary and community organisations in County Durham.
If you’ve ever found the prospect of tackling the climate crisis daunting, this event is for you! Join us at East Durham Trust’s Arts Café in Peterlee on the 18th September.
We’re delighted that our partners genee will be providing a free introductory workshop about environmental management systems on this afternoon. An environmental management system (EMS) is a set of practices to make your organisation more climate friendly. This workshop will go through what an EMS includes, how it can benefit you, and how to put one in place.
We’ll also be sharing lots of other opportunities you can get involved with, including our bursary scheme and our Become Green Together support programme.
More than this, the session will be an opportunity to meet other organisations, and discover ways we can help each other and work together to make our local area greener and our organisations more sustainable.
We hope to see you there! Register now through the VONNE website.
Going Green Together is a VONNE Climate Action Alliance initiative hosted by VONNE. Registered Company in England Number: 4061592. Registered Charity Number: 1084083
